As a lipophilic (oil-loving) acid, it is the cornerstone for deep pore purification. It penetrates into the follicle to dissolve the "cellular glue" (sebum and dead skin) that creates comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) before they become inflamed.
A "double-action" molecule that is superior to standard zinc. It provides powerful antimicrobial properties and regulates sebum production, while the PCA (Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid) acts as a natural moisturizing factor to ensure the skin does not flake or become tight.
These natural botanical extracts provide potent antiseptic and anti-inflammatory benefits. Buchu oil, specifically, is a South African "super-ingredient" that helps reduce the swelling and redness of cystic breakouts.
Included to stabilize the skin's barrier, reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, and prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (the dark marks left behind after a pimple heals).
